| Our passion has
been to rally responsible individuals around a vision we
can all truly agree upon, believe in and call our own.
We call that vision “DREAM Malaysia” and hope to fulfil it by
the year 2020. What is DREAM Malaysia? It is the vision of a transformed nation that
will promote peace, prosperity, partnership and power
to the people of Malaysia. In a nutshell, it’s
about our future. What would it look like? What do
we want it
to look like? Simply put, DREAM Malaysia is a vision
for a better tomorrow – a better Malaysia – for
all of us. And it all begins with the power of responsible
choice. The first
question DREAM Malaysia asks of us is, “What kind of country
do we want to see by the year 2020?” Could it include
thoughts like

|
Impossible
you say?! I don't blame you. Behind every 'dream come true'
is someone who said "it couldn't be done". And
what dream would it be in the first place if it was ever
done before.
The
second and equally important question that DREAM Malaysia
must
ask of us is, “ What must WE do to see this
dream accomplished?” Before WE
can truly see a “transformed Malaysia”,
WE must see a reformed or “repented" Malaysia.
But what does this mean?
The word reform means, to change
from the inside. The word “repent” is originally
meant to show a state of mind ie “to think differently”.
It means that if true change were to take place in a
person’s
life, it has to begin with a change in the way that person
thinks (also commonly referred to as a change in mindsets,
mentality or attitudes).

DREAM Malaysia
therefore begins with us – each and
every responsible individual. Did YOU know
that YOU could
make a difference? The power of change is in our hands
(and heads) and when each of us start to make a conscious
decision
to change, Malaysia will change with us.
DREAM Malaysia
is a Malaysian responsibility – yours
and mine – and together WE can
make THE difference.
DREAM Malaysia is about the emerging generation of this nation - our future.
We would really like to hear what you have to say. It is vital that WE begin
to detail and formulate what DREAM Malaysia is really going to look like
and how it is going to get done. With this in mind I would like to start
by opening
up a (cyber or otherwise) dialogue with leaders and youth alike hoping that
this will further lead to the building of strong and strategic friendships,
networks and partnerships all across this nation and beyond for the sake
of the vision.
Please feel free to share your information,
ideas and inspirations with us using our DREAM Malaysia
2020 (Country) - “What do you see/ what must
we do?” Forum or
email us at dm2020@aya.org.my. Looking forward to
your contribution and comradeship! |
