It was birthed out of a vision and continues to grow because of that vision. The “Organisation” of AYA, consisting of Kenneth Chin, the board of advisors & directors, his executive team and band of over 20 dedicated full-time workers, exist only to SERVE and facilitate that same vision as God sees fit to spread it across the neighbourhood of Subang, the nation of Malaysia and the nations beyond.

The Vision of ’94, as we affectionately call it, deeply impressed upon our hearts the plan of God for the imminent revival of the Church and the transformation of the nation of Malaysia, especially among and through the emerging generation(s). This vision, which later received a Scriptural promise from the Book of Joel Chapter 2 verse 12 onwards, first involves the “turning & returning” of believers back to their First Love and culminates with a missions emphasis and explosion.

Since 1999 we’ve given the vision a name (and a target): “DREAM Malaysia” (by 2020), and extended it to include a united vision for the Country as well (the Rukun Negara to begin with). The question DREAM Malaysia asks is “What kind of Church and Country do we want to see by the year 2020?” The latter may include thoughts like

Without doubt, these are all dreams we can definitely agree upon, regardless whether we are Christian or not. But “what must WE do to see this dream accomplished?” There’s obviously much work to be done but before WE can truly see a “transformed" Malaysia, WE must see a “reformed and revived" Church.
